Biology: - Get the notes on pgs. 4-5 (look at my notes on the class notebook). - Make an attempt at practice problem #1 on pg. 8 in your packet. Look at the answers on the class notebook to check your answers.  Honors Biology: - see above Natural Resources: - Today was a work day to work on your macroinvertebrate data report. I decided to move the deadline to Friday, 9/5 because enough people still weren't done at the end of class and I don't want you guys doing this as homework tonight. If you still aren't done with this project, and you need help, come see me in office hours next week.

Biology: - We finished all the notes up to pg. 3 in the notes packet. Check the class notebook to make sure you get all the information in that table on pg. 3. - If you were gone today, I want you to answer questions 1-2 in your notes packet on the top of pg. 4. We did a sorting activity in class to have a deeper discussion about the purposes of the Bible and science, but I won't have you make that up - just answer questions 1-2 and you're good.  - Some classes might get to the point where we take notes on pg. 4 - check your class notebook to see how far your class got, and catch up to that point. Honors Biology:  See above. Don't forget that your article response assignment (on Teams) is due by 11:59 pm tonight.  Natural Resources: Today we debriefed the macroinvertebrate data from our field trip on Wednesday. I am going to help you figure out the math to turn our data into something meaningful - find the page on the class notebook called "Macro Data Analysis" t...

Biology: - The whole point of today was to learn about various worldviews and how different worldviews can lead to different conclusions in science. We took notes on pgs. 2-3. If you were gone, you can get those from the class notebook. - If you were gone, one thing I need from you is for you to write a paragraph telling me about your worldview (you can type this and send to me on Teams chat, or handwrite it and give it to me in person). Here are the instructions I posted in class: Honors Biology:  - See above, and ALSO: check Teams to see the assignment called "Article Response: Atheism and Science". You need to read an article and then answer the questions that are attached to the Teams assignment. If you were gone, ask me for this article and I can send it to you. This assignment is due Friday by 11:59 PM (unless you were absent today - then you get 2 extra days to complete the assignment). Natural Resources: Field trip to the Boise River to sample macroinvertebrates.

Biology: - I passed out a paper with follow-up questions about the fossil find. If you were gone, you need to ask me for this paper, then you ONLY need to answer questions 2, 4, 5, 7, and 9. Then turn it in. - We added two key points to the notes on pg. 1, then we added some notes on the top of pg. 2. Check the class notebook to get those copied into your own notes. - Note for clarification: the "Confidence Scale" is just a visual model that represents the process of science. It's not new information - it's tying together the information from the last few days. - We started discussing how different worldviews can affect the way we see evidence. - Reminder: download desktop apps! I will be checking these off on block day. Honors bio: see above Natural Resources: - Reminder: field trip tomorrow! - We finished notes about macroinvertebrates. If you were gone, make sure you get those from the class notebook (it's imperative that you stay caught up on notes so you ha...

See the class notebook to get those. - We did an activity called "The Great Fossil Find" to keep learning about the process of science. If you were gone, please ask me for the fossil find questions sheet. - Reminder: download desktop apps on your computer! I will be checking these off on block day.   Biology: - I passed out the "Laboratory Regulations and Safety Rules" contract. If you were gone, you need to ask me for this, then read through it and sign it, then turn it in. You don't need a parent to sign it - just you. - I passed out the Unit 1 Notes Packet. Notes packets will be distributed at the beginning of each unit. I will only give you the one copy. If you lose it, I can show you how to print another one using the file on the Class Notebook. If you were gone, ask me for this. - We took a few notes on pg. 1. If you were gone, you can find these notes on the Class Notebook (within Teams). Use the menu in the Class Notebook to find the "Unit 1: Nature of Science" section, then click on the "Unit 1 Notes Packet" under that. Copy down the notes in your own packet. - We did an activity to discuss the difference between observations and inferences. If you were gone, you don't need to make this up. Honors Biology : See above. Natural Resourc...
