 Biology:

- I passed out the "Laboratory Regulations and Safety Rules" contract. If you were gone, you need to ask me for this, then read through it and sign it, then turn it in. You don't need a parent to sign it - just you.

- I passed out the Unit 1 Notes Packet. Notes packets will be distributed at the beginning of each unit. I will only give you the one copy. If you lose it, I can show you how to print another one using the file on the Class Notebook. If you were gone, ask me for this.

- We took a few notes on pg. 1. If you were gone, you can find these notes on the Class Notebook (within Teams). Use the menu in the Class Notebook to find the "Unit 1: Nature of Science" section, then click on the "Unit 1 Notes Packet" under that. Copy down the notes in your own packet.

- We did an activity to discuss the difference between observations and inferences. If you were gone, you don't need to make this up.


Honors Biology: See above.



Natural Resources: 

- Make sure you have a notebook for this class next week!

- Don't forget to bring me your permission slip!

- Today we discussed the question, "What is God's design for mankind and the environment?" If you were gone, ask me for the handout for this assignment.

Wednesday/Thursday, 9/3 - 9/4

  Biology: - I passed out the study guide for the Unit 1 Test (Friday, 9/12). If you were gone, here is what I explained: This study guide is your ticket for being able to retake the test. If you turn in a completed study guide on the day of the test BEFORE you take your test, then you are eligible for a retake if needed. If you don't turn in a study guide, you won't be penalized - it just means you won't be able to retake the test.  You can choose to complete your study guide however you'd like. If you choose to do it on paper, then I recommend using additional notebook paper to give yourself enough room to answer all the questions thoroughly. I will have a key available for you next week. When you are finished with your study guide, you can check it with my key. Friday, 8/22/25

 Biology: - We finished all the notes up to pg. 3 in the notes packet. Check the class notebook to make sure you get all the information in that table on pg. 3. - If you were gone today, I want you to answer questions 1-2 in your notes packet on the top of pg. 4. We did a sorting activity in class to have a deeper discussion about the purposes of the Bible and science, but I won't have you make that up - just answer questions 1-2 and you're good.  - Some classes might get to the point where we take notes on pg. 4 - check your class notebook to see how far your class got, and catch up to that point.  Biology: - I checked off your desktop apps on your laptops. If you were gone, you need to see me in office hours and show me the desktop apps on your laptop. It will go in the gradebook as "M" (missing) until you show me. - We took the unit 1 quiz. If you were gone, you need to schedule a time with me next week at lunch or after school to take this. It needs to be done before the test on Friday. - I passed out the Daphnia Experimentation lab packet and we took notes on it to prepare for a lab that we are starting on Monday.
