 Biology:

- I passed out a paper with follow-up questions about the fossil find. If you were gone, you need to ask me for this paper, then you ONLY need to answer questions 2, 4, 5, 7, and 9. Then turn it in.

- We added two key points to the notes on pg. 1, then we added some notes on the top of pg. 2. Check the class notebook to get those copied into your own notes.

- Note for clarification: the "Confidence Scale" is just a visual model that represents the process of science. It's not new information - it's tying together the information from the last few days.

- We started discussing how different worldviews can affect the way we see evidence.

- Reminder: download desktop apps! I will be checking these off on block day.

Honors bio: see above

Natural Resources:

- Reminder: field trip tomorrow!

- We finished notes about macroinvertebrates. If you were gone, make sure you get those from the class notebook (it's imperative that you stay caught up on notes so you have information to use while we're on field trips.)

- I assigned each person a macroinvertebrate to research. If you were gone, I want you to research caddisfly larva. On a piece of paper, make a mini-poster with the following information:

  • Name
  • Sketch
  • Feeding group
  • Movement style
  • Where does it typically live within the river continuum (headwaters, mid-order, or mouth)
  • Pollution tolerance group (1, 2, or 3?)
- We practiced identifying macroinvertebrates and discussed methods for tomorrow's field trip. If you were gone, you will need to pay close attention on the bus tomorrow to learn sample methods.
