Biology:
- Remember: you will have a quiz this Friday (10/17) on the organelles and their functions.
- Remember: the deadline for retaking the unit 2 test is Monday, 10/20. I have a meeting at lunch, so I am only available after school. If you can't make that time, schedule a time with me to take the test earlier.
- Today we finished section 1 in the notes and did the practice section on the top of pg. 2. If you were gone, get those notes and look through those practice questions.
- We moved on to section 2 in the notes. Use the class notebook to see how far your class got, and get caught up to that point. Note: the highlighted definitions show you the exact wording that will be used on the quiz. Spend some time quizzing yourself on the organelles and their functions to prep for the quiz on Friday.
Honors Biology:
See above.
Natural Resources:
- Remember we have a field trip tomorrow that will go through lunch. Bring food!
- Today I announced that you will have a unit 2 test a week from today. There will be a section of the test that is open-note, and a section of the test that you cannot use notes on. We will discuss this more on Friday.
- If you were gone today, 1. Answer practice questions #13 and 14 in the unit 2 practice questions. 2. Send me a Teams chat to ask me for a specific keystone species to research. On a piece of paper, you need to make a mini-poster that includes the keystone specie's name, a basic sketch, where it can be found (geographic location or type of ecosystem), and why it is considered to be a keystone species (the more detail, the better!)
- Eventually, you will need to copy down a table in your notes that includes the information for all the keystone species that people researched in class. Send me a Teams chat to ask for this table, or copy it down from a classmate.
