Biology:

- Take notes on pgs. 5-6 (see class notebook to get those if you were gone).

- Take more notes on pg. 7. Get those from the class notebook.

Natural Resources:

- Finish notes on Endangered Species Act (get from class notebook if you were gone)

- Watch Spotted Owl video (use this link to watch if you were gone:) and answer practice questions 18-19.

- Prep for test tomorrow- make sure you have notes completed, make sure you have your practice questions with you, and make sure you are prepared to answer the close-note portion of the test.

- Announcement: field trip on Wednesday to BUGS to learn about soil. This field trip is being coordinated by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), the U of I Extension, and the Ada Soil and Water Conservation district. Don't rely on getting food off-campus - this will run into lunch.

Wednesday/Thursday, 9/3 - 9/4

  Biology: - I passed out the study guide for the Unit 1 Test (Friday, 9/12). If you were gone, here is what I explained: This study guide is your ticket for being able to retake the test. If you turn in a completed study guide on the day of the test BEFORE you take your test, then you are eligible for a retake if needed. If you don't turn in a study guide, you won't be penalized - it just means you won't be able to retake the test.  You can choose to complete your study guide however you'd like. If you choose to do it on paper, then I recommend using additional notebook paper to give yourself enough room to answer all the questions thoroughly. I will have a key available for you next week. When you are finished with your study guide, you can check it with my key.  Biology: - We finished all the notes up to pg. 3 in the notes packet. Check the class notebook to make sure you get all the information in that table on pg. 3. - If you were gone today, I want you to answer questions 1-2 in your notes packet on the top of pg. 4. We did a sorting activity in class to have a deeper discussion about the purposes of the Bible and science, but I won't have you make that up - just answer questions 1-2 and you're good.  - Some classes might get to the point where we take notes on pg. 4 - check your class notebook to see how far your class got, and catch up to that point.  Biology: - I checked off your desktop apps on your laptops. If you were gone, you need to see me in office hours and show me the desktop apps on your laptop. It will go in the gradebook as "M" (missing) until you show me. - We took the unit 1 quiz. If you were gone, you need to schedule a time with me next week at lunch or after school to take this.
