Biology:

- If you were gone today, you missed a quiz. To be prepared for this, make sure you can fill out the diagram on pg. 2 from memory, make sure you can match the name of the organelle to its definition, and make sure you can answer critical thinking questions about the organelles (like the warmup yesterday).

- You missed a modeling activity where we made phospholipids out of marshmallows and pipe cleaners. You will be able to make this up in class on Monday.

Natural Resources:

- We did walking notes to get information in your notes about all the keystone species. If you were gone, you can get those notes from the class notebook.

- We took notes on the Endangered Species Act. If you were gone, get those notes from the class notebook.

- I passed out a study guide for the test on Tuesday. If you were gone, get this from me.

  Biology: - I passed out the study guide for the Unit 1 Test (Friday, 9/12). If you were gone, here is what I explained: This study guide is your ticket for being able to retake the test. If you turn in a completed study guide on the day of the test BEFORE you take your test, then you are eligible for a retake if needed. If you don't turn in a study guide, you won't be penalized - it just means you won't be able to retake the test.  You can choose to complete your study guide however you'd like. If you choose to do it on paper, then I recommend using additional notebook paper to give yourself enough room to answer all the questions thoroughly. I will have a key available for you next week. When you are finished with your study guide, you can check it with my key.  Biology: - We finished all the notes up to pg. 3 in the notes packet. Check the class notebook to make sure you get all the information in that table on pg. 3. - If you were gone today, I want you to answer questions 1-2 in your notes packet on the top of pg. 4. We did a sorting activity in class to have a deeper discussion about the purposes of the Bible and science, but I won't have you make that up - just answer questions 1-2 and you're good.  - Some classes might get to the point where we take notes on pg. 4 - check your class notebook to see how far your class got, and catch up to that point.  Biology: - I checked off your desktop apps on your laptops. If you were gone, you need to see me in office hours and show me the desktop apps on your laptop. It will go in the gradebook as "M" (missing) until you show me. - We took the unit 1 quiz. If you were gone, you need to schedule a time with me next week at lunch or after school to take this. It needs to be done before the test on Friday. - I passed out the Daphnia Experimentation lab packet and we took notes on it to prepare for a lab that we are starting on Monday.
